I attempt to dump the PIT using Heimdall and it fails. VEN_0000&PID_0002 or something along those lines. I go to device manager, and the device driver clearly is not properly installed. Whenever I attempt to install the driver using Zadig, I pick Gadget Serial, install the driver, I have to restart the phone into download mode, but now the first Gadget Serial never shows in Zadig, and Windows throws an error message about an unknown descriptor. The American version uses the msm8960 Snapdragon I believe. The Canadian model of this Samsung Galaxy S7 (XAC (unlocked)) uses the Exynos M1 Mongoose for the CPU.
The problem occurs when I try to install any of the various usb drivers and I believe I know why. I am simply trying to download the PIT file.
I've tried this on two laptops, one that is a business grade laptop with a USB 3.0 port, and the other that is a consumer grade laptop with USB 2.0 ports.
